Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager
With nearly 10 years of industry
experience, Kirk has a strong background in portfolio management and
fundamental research analysis in both the equity and fixed income markets. He is an integral part of the RiverPoint
Investment Team. He has extensive
experience in the review and analysis of new investment issues and private
placements having dealt directly with investment banking firms and Wall Street
institutional traders.
Prior to joining RiverPoint, Kirk
was an investment research analyst at Summit Investment Partners, where he was
responsible for over $1 billion in client assets as the primary analyst for the
Financial, Industrial, Consumer Staples and Material sectors, as well as Real
Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). He was
a member of the Summit portfolio management team that set portfolio strategy
for over $5 billion in institutional client assets focused on high quality
corporate bonds.
Prior to his work at Summit, Kirk
was a research analyst and part of the portfolio management group at Johnson
Investment Counsel, specializing in fundamental research for client-held
securities, often large, low-cost basis holdings. He has experience in options, collars and
income generating strategies. His
analytical work included monitoring private equity holdings and alternative
investments. He was one of the co-managers of the Johnson small company equity
strategy.
He received a Bachelor of Science
degree in Finance and Business Economics from Miami University and an MBA in
Finance from the University of Cincinnati with honors. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst
designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Cincinnati. He has recently received the additional
distinction of being Certified in Investment Performance Management (CIPM) by
the CFA Institute as well as becoming a Level III candidate in the Chartered
Market Technician program.
In the community, Kirk serves on the Board of Directors of Bethany House Services, serving on the Finance and Golf Outing Committees. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Enjoy The Arts.
