Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager
Ms. Schmitt is a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager working with high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments, and retirement plans. Pam is also an integral part of the RCM Investment Team. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services and investment management industry and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designations. Pam has extensive experience in the review and analysis of equity and fixed income investments both in the secondary market and on a direct-investment basis, having worked in-depth on mergers and acquisitions as well as asset-liability management within a large bank environment.
Prior to joining RiverPoint, Pam was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Fifth Third Asset Management where she was responsible for the investment relationships of some of the firm’s largest institutional clients. She worked extensively with the clients and their consultants on all investment-related matters, conducted investment reviews and was involved in setting portfolio strategies to most effectively meet client objectives. Previously, Pam was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Commerce Bancshares in St. Louis, where she managed investment portfolios for both institutional and high net worth clients, and served as the firm’s financial-stock analyst for both the Value and Core equity strategies. Pam spent 10 years at Commerce, working in corporate credit analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and asset-liability management prior to becoming a portfolio manager.
Pam received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with a minor in Japanese studies from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She received an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the CFA Society of Cincinnati, and serves as a Trustee and the Chair of the Finance Committee on the Board of the Cincinnati Ballet. She was selected as a 2008 Rising Star by the YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement and is currently on the steering committee for the United Way of Greater Cincinnati WINGS group (Women Investing in the Next Generation).
